![]() ![]() We've reached out to Arrowhead for comment. Obviously not all of these are caused by a dead controller battery, and there's been no word on if they’ll be addressed in the new update. On the Playstation forums, users of PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game have been reporting all kinds of issues with transferring saves and problems with online multiplayer. This bug isn't the only one plaguing Helldivers players right now, though. This may solve the issue, but will not work if you have managed to save since you got reset. If this issue should occur, restarting the game without saving will cause it to try and download the cloud save next time you start it up. Don't switch controllers if you battery is running low, just connect it to a cable, and wait until you are on the bridge and done with saving before switching to another controller. What you can do about it: Make sure your controller has a full charge when you start playing. The fix for this specific issue will be in patch 1.03. What we are doing about it: We have fixed this specific occurrence and are investigating other ways that save data might get reset as we are seeing reports of unrelated save reset issues. The game menu works with the left stick without issue, but when I start the game I cannot move. There is some sort of issue with my gamepad. This results in what looks like lost progress, and often results in progress being lost if you let the game finish its save. HELLDIVERS > General Discussions > Topic Details. We found an issue related to the controller dropping its connection to the game and then when you reconnect, the game spawns your avatar before it manages to load your old save. There is currently an issue with players experiencing wiped save data. Wiped progression? Don't turn off your controller! In the meantime, Arrowhead posted a few tips on the Helldivers subreddit. Helldivers developers, Arrowhead, have confirmed that this is an issue and that they will be working on fixing for the forthcoming 1.03 patch. Apparently, the glitch will cause a new level one character to spawn and immediately save over your previous data - effectively wiping your save. According to Kotaku, players have been reporting odd bugs that will wipe all progress if the batteries in the controller die. What do you think of Sony’s new handheld console? Let us know in the comments below. The new Playstation release, Helldivers, seems to be having a bit of trouble. So whenever Sony’s next PlayStation Showcase will be, it’s seemingly going to be a big one. It’s understood that the PlayStation 5 Pro is aiming for a holiday 2024 release. Ironically though, this “second phase” is very much true for Sony’s hardware offerings, with the new detachable disc drive PlayStation 5, Project Nomad (wireless earphones), Project Voyager (wireless headset), and Q Lite (handheld) all scheduled to release within a very short period. I have ordered a controller because my curiosity is simply too great. Being that Helldivers is a twin-stick shooter, I would assume that controllers are the optimal input mode but I have heard the opposite from some. ![]() Insider Gaming understands that the Q Lite is in its QA phase and is scheduled to release before the PlayStation 5 Pro and after the Detachable Disc Drive PS5.Īs previously mentioned by industry insider Jeff Grubb, Sony is planning to announce its “second phase of the PS5”, which was in reference to its future game slate. As a PC player who has always used K&M, I was intrigued to know what controller gameplay is like. In 1950, Warner Brothers employee and ex- Kodak researcher Arthur Widmer began working on an ultraviolet travelling matte process. Credited to Larry Butler, a scene featuring a genie escaping from a bottle was the first use of a proper bluescreen process to create a traveling matte for The Thief of Bagdad (1940), which won the Academy Award for Best Special Effects that year. At RKO, Linwood Dunn used an early version of the travelling matte to create "wipes" – where there were transitions like a windshield wiper in films such as Flying Down to Rio (1933). The blue screen method was developed in the 1930s at RKO Radio Pictures. In the 1920s, Walt Disney used a white backdrop to include human actors with cartoon characters and backgrounds in his Alice Comedies. This was used in many films, such as The Invisible Man. In 1918 Frank Williams patented a travelling matte technique, again based on using a black background. In order to have figures in one exposure actually move in front of a substituted background in the other, a travelling matte was needed, to occlude the correct portion of the background in each frame. Porter used double exposure to add background scenes to windows which were black when filmed on set, using a garbage matte to expose only the window areas. In 1903, The Great Train Robbery by Edwin S. George Albert Smith first used this approach in 1898. ![]() This was done using black draping where a green screen would be used today. Prior to the introduction of travelling mattes and optical printing, double exposure was used to introduce elements into a scene which were not present in the initial exposure. Motion tracking can also be used in conjunction with chroma keying, such as to move the background as the subject moves. Rotoscopy may instead be carried out on subjects that are not in front of a green (or blue) screen. Chroma keying is also common in the entertainment industry for visual effects in movies and video games. If the news presenter wears blue clothes, their clothes will also be replaced with the background video. Using a blue screen, different weather maps are added on the parts of the image in which the colour is blue. It is commonly used for live weather forecast broadcasts in which a news presenter is seen standing in front of a large CGI map which is really a large blue or green background. No part of the subject being filmed or photographed may duplicate the colour used as the backing, or the part may be erroneously identified as part of the backing. This technique is also referred to as colour keying, colour-separation overlay ( CSO primarily by the BBC ), or by various terms for specific colour-related variants such as green screen or blue screen chroma keying can be done with backgrounds of any colour that are uniform and distinct, but green and blue backgrounds are more commonly used because they differ most distinctly in hue from any human skin colour. The chroma keying technique is commonly used in video production and post-production. A colour range in the foreground footage is made transparent, allowing separately filmed background footage or a static image to be inserted into the scene. The technique has been used in many fields to remove a background from the subject of a photo or video – particularly the newscasting, motion picture, and video game industries. Ĭhroma key compositing, or chroma keying, is a visual-effects and post-production technique for compositing (layering) two or more images or video streams together based on colour hues ( chroma range). īottom panel: The corresponding frame in the final version in which the actor impersonates Barack Obama "appearing" outside the White House's East Room.
